One of the most treasured races for me was the 24-hour stadium run in Bangalore. It was about coming up hour after hour and simply keeping going, not about speed or putting in a lot of effort for a few hours. There were times when I felt physically fatigued, but I also had to keep my thoughts under control. Following the marathon, I realized how important consistency and patience are for endurance.

The Qualification Run

The race that brought me closer to the world stage.

180.8 KM Covered

I completed 180.8 km within 24 hours on a stadium track.

World Championship Qualification

This run helped me qualify for the 24 Hour World Championship.

Mental Endurance

Stay focused through long, repetitive laps and manage mental fatigue throughout the race.

Bangalore 2024

The event was organised by NEB Sports in Bangalore in July 2024.

Running in a stadium is not the same as running on the road. You keep going around the same loop over and over, and at some point, it starts to feel more mental than physical. There were times when it felt boring, but I kept reminding myself why I started. It was a special moment when I crossed the 180 km mark, not just because of the number, but also because of everything it took to get there.

Running Comrades was a very different experience for me. The crowd, the route, the elevation, the atmosphere… it all adds up. From the start, I knew this race would test me in ways I hadn’t experienced before.

The Ultimate Race

One of the toughest ultramarathons in the world, held in South Africa.

Up Run Completed

Completed the 86 km Up Run with around 1100m elevation.

Down Run Completed

Finished the 90 km Down Run with nearly 800m elevation.

Top Indian Performance

Among the top 3 fastest Indian female finishers in the 2024 Up Run.

Strong Finish Timing

Focused on steady pacing to complete both runs within competitive timings.

Both runs feel entirely different when you’re actually out there. The climbs during the Up Run take a lot out of you, and the Down Run may look relaxed, but it puts constant pressure on your legs. There were tough moments during both, but I just dedicated on moving forward. The support on the route and the overall energy of the race really help you keep going.

Finishing Comrades is not merely about crossing the finish line; it stays with you. It gave me a lot more confidence in what I’m capable of.

Ironman was an absolutely different kind of experience for me. It wasn’t just about running anymore; it was about dealing with three poles apart disciplines in one day. From the start, I knew it would come down to how well I could pace myself and stay steady throughout. It really tested my focus, especially over such long hours.

The Ironman Journey

One race, three disciplines, one finish line.

3.8 KM Swim

Started with a 3.8 km open water swim, focusing on staying calm and keeping a steady rhythm.

180 KM Cycling

Followed by 180 km of cycling, where managing energy and pace became really important.

42.2 KM Run

Finished with a full marathon, which felt more challenging after already spending hours in the race.

Podium Finish

Finished 3rd in my age category at Ironman Kazakhstan.

Ironman teaches you imperturbability more than anything else. You can’t blast through any part of it; you just have to keep moving. There were instances where I had to slow down and just focus on getting through the next phase. Crossing the finish line after completing all three stages felt really satisfying. It gave me a lot of self-assurance to take on bigger endurance challenges.

Beyond The Podium

Being part of the running community has been just as important to me as competing. Along with racing, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute in different ways – whether it’s supporting events, guiding runners, or simply being part of something bigger than myself.

More Than Just Racing

Contributing to the running community across Maharashtra.

Race Ambassador

Associated as a race ambassador for multiple running events across Maharashtra.

Community Involvement

Actively involved in major races, supporting and engaging with the running community.

Multiple Podium Finishes

Consistent Participation

Regularly participated in races ranging from short distances to ultramarathons.

Over time, running has become more than just personal performance for me. Being present at events, interacting with runners, and contributing to the community have been equally meaningful. These experiences have helped me stay connected to the sport differently.

This was one of the first times I really experienced what ultra running feels like. I carried out long runs before, but running for 24 hours was something of a clean slate. I didn’t go in with a picture-perfect plan; I just sought to understand how far I could go and how my physique would get back as things progress.

The Learning Phase

Where I started understanding endurance.

148.8 KM Covered

Covered 148.8 km over 24 hours.

Podium Finish

Finished 2nd overall and 1st in the female category.

Handling Long Hours

Stayed on Track for 24 hours, learning how to manage both body and mind.

Understanding Endurance

Started learning how to manage pace, breaks, and energy during long races.

The race was not always smooth sailing. Some hours felt okay, and some were really difficult. I didn’t zoom in too much on the total distance; I just kept going, one lap at a time. That helped me stay steady.

This race was important for me because it gave me a clear idea of what endurance really means. It became a base for everything I’ve done after that.

This run was worlds apart from anything I had done before. It wasn’t a race; there were no other runners around, and it was just me on the road for longer than expected. I took this challenge head-on as a solo run, and that demanded more from me in a varied approach.

This run changed my Life completely as well as gave me a unique identity by doing 161km from Mumbai to Pune on occasion of “Shiv Jayanti” to spread the awareness of Unity among the entire country along with raising funds for Girls Education .

With this endurance challenge, I actually stepped up into the world of ultrarunning. This achievement and entire journey is very close to my heart.

The Record Run

A run that meant more than just distance.

100 Miles Covered

Completed a solo run of 100 miles (around 160 km) from Mumbai to Pune.

India Book of Records

This run was recognised in the India Book of Records.

36 Hours Effort

Finished the run in around 36 hours, managing breaks along the way.

Run With Purpose

Dedicated the run to a social cause, driving awareness around girls’ education.

It’s not just your body that changes when you run alone for the longest time; your psyche also does. At certain moments, I was quiet; there were phases when I doubted myself, and at various points in time, I was absolutely focused. I didn’t think about the end too much; I just kept going.

This run stayed with me for a sustained period. It made me realise that sometimes you don’t need a race to push your limits – you just need a reason.

Journey Moments

Some real moments from the road between Mumbai and Pune.
